Dari sekian banyak penampilan musik yang pernah saya saksikan (walaupun ga menyaksikan langsung sih 😛 ), ada beberapa penampilan yang luar biasa ‘menusuk’, dalam arti penampilan tersebut benar-benar membuat membuat saya menahan nafas dan memusatkan seluruh perhatian saya pada penampilan tersebut. Somehow, my undergraduate study (majoring architecture) memory was a negative memory; full of suffering, etc. This movie helps changing it into a sweet one. 🙂
P.s: Someday maybe, really maybe, I will discuss the movie cognitively, but in the meantime I will just enjoy it psychologically. 🙂
Having been involved in some studies, projects, and researches related to urban planning and design initiated by various institutions, I am concerned that Indonesian big cities (example: Jakarta) are having problems in housing provision and development. I am concerned that some systems running in Indonesian big cities, such as the economical system, land and space ownership system, transportation system, etc, create problems in urban housing spread and quality. The systems I mentioned specifically create problem in population density. Indonesian big cities face rapid sprawling low density suburbanization of their peripheries and surrounding cities, while on the same time face continuous high density slum creation on their core areas. Research done on 2010 by Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN) shows that population density in Jakarta vary extremely on suburb and slum area. Both phenomena (suburbanization and slum creation) tend to make city development not sustainable. Both phenomena tend to make city-wide problems such as traffic congestion, bad air quality, and even civil unrest. People living in both kind of settlement (sprawling low density suburb and high density slum) also tend to have low living quality.
Inspired by Facebook Timeline, I would like to create a flashback album of my life in 2011. My friend and colleague Vera said that 2011 is a special year for us (Architecture UI 2007 students), since lot of big things happened fast in it. Those events also do have significant impacts on our life. I do agree with her. Let’s have a glimpse on my life in 2011. 🙂
January 6, 2011. The external review of Architecture Design 5. For me and maybe some other Architecture UI 2007 students, this is the end of the ‘studio suffrage era’. 😀
It also marked the start of the final phase of our undergraduate study, the undergraduate thesis phase. \(-_-)/
I do appreciate Star Wars movies (Episode IV, V, VI, I, II, and III, excluding the animated version) as some best movies ever, masterpiece of its time, honorable record in human history. 🙂
I used to assess movie quality on two main points: the storyline and the delivery of the story. Star Wars’ storyline is undoubtedly complex, yet beautiful. Its about politics, and also about personal life. Its adrenaline raising, yet romantic. Its harsh, yet touching. Its masculine, yet feminine. And of course everything are harmoniously in place. 9,5 out of 10 for the storyline! The storyline is also delivered wonderfully: convincing acting, powerful visual effects, fantastic soundtrack and sound effects, remarkably detailed visual properties, etc. 9,5 out of 10 for the delivery of the story! 🙂

Masa SMA adalah masa yang saya kenang sebagai masa yang sangat indah. Masa dimana setiap harinya dipenuhi dengan rasa senang di dalam hati. Cukup kerasnya proses pembelajaran di Smansa (SMA Negeri 1 Depok) bila dibandingkan dengan SMA-SMA lain di Depok pun saya masukkan sebagai bagian dari perasaan senang tersebut.

“Easy-going memang bukan tipe saya”
Pada libur tengah tahun ajaran 2009-2010 saya berencana mengajak mentee-mentee saya berlibur, sebagai sarana merekatkan ukhuwah kelompok saya. Setelah memikirkan beberapa alternatif tempat, akhirnya saya memilih Pantai Anyer sebagai tempat tujuan, karena menurut salah seorang teman baik saya:
Dengan semangat membiayai seluruh pengeluaran dan easy-going (tidak ingin direpotkan dengan rencana perjalanan), saya berangkat dengan uang Rp. 150.000,00 di dompet dan tangki bensin mobil setengah penuh. Walaupun saya rasa bensin akan cukup untuk pulang pergi, entah kenapa saya meminta uang bensin Rp. 100.000,00 pada orang tua.
